The future of CAREL is taking place also through the entry of Arion S.r.l., Sauber S.r.l., Klingenburg GmbH, Klingenburg International Sp. z o.o. and Senva Inc. into the Group, followed by the acquisitions of Enginia S.r.l., CFM Sogutma ve Otomasyon A.S., Eurotec and Kiona. Global growth is continuing with the doubling of the production plant in Croatia and the opening of a new Knowledge Center in the Headquarters
During the same period, the company won the Eccellenza d’Impresa award for Internationalisation, received a “B-” rating from CDP, was awarded the EcoVadis silver medal, joined the UN Global Compact, achieved an MSCI AA rating, and saw CAREL ELECTRONIC Suzhou named best Italian SME in China.

Acquisitions

New business and global growth
From IoT to analytics and services, as told by Ivan and Riccardo:
"...as far back as 2005 we started designing solutions that
made it possible to collate information from multiple sites."
New business development and global growth continued with new production plants in Brazil, Croatia and Suzhou, the expansion of CAREL USA, new branches and acquisitions including CAREL Nordic, CAREL Mexicana, CAREL Middle East, CAREL Thailand, C.R.C., Alfaco Polska, CAREL Japan, Recuperator and Hygromatik, and new thermodynamic laboratories in China and the United States.
During the same period, the company received ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications, and won the Electrolux Supplier Award, the RAC Cooling Award and the Small & Mid Cap Award.
The Lean approach
As told by our Group Head of Lean & Process Innovation, Giulio Dal Lin:
"The basic idea was to adopt the lean approach in its entirety […] and
lay the foundations for a culture of excellence."
Overseas production sites
As told by Alberto and Martino:
"The main objective was to improve our service and our ability
to offer added value to our American customers."
Global expansion continued with new branches across Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa, and a new production plant in Suzhou, China.
During the same period, the company received the Mediobanca Award and was named an “Excellent Company” by Eurispes, ranking among Italy’s top 100.
The Research Center

Our first branches
CAREL Deutschland as told by its first Managing Director, Andrea Baggio:
"I became the first expat in CAREL’s history. This was when working
abroad was not yet as common as it is today, especially in a country
where I didn’t even know a word in the local language. "
CAREL expanded internationally with new branches also in France, the United Kingdom and South America.
How the vision came to life

The first humidifier
As told by our Vice President, Ing. Luigi Nalini:
"Initially, it was an uphill struggle [...] after a few attempts,
we completed our first humidifier: HUMITRONIC.
That was back in 1978."
Our foundation
